Position Summary

Take the lead in planning, directing, and coordinating the safety initiatives of Michael Brothers Companies.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to providing direction of safety for all employees, creating and conducting safety trainings, creating policies, maintaining records, and conducting safety inspections at all company facilities, responsible for DOT and DEP compliance.  

• Will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining any necessary local, state, and federal permits.
• Related DutiesLead in planning and coordinating safety initiatives
• Create and maintain safety policies and safety handbook
• Establish and oversee safety administrative procedures and related organizational policies.
• Bi-weekly visits to all locations
• Create and conduct safety trainings as needed for all departments
• Oversee all aspects of Michael Brothers Safety Committee
• Maintain and update the Safety Handbook
• Conduct building inspections
• Investigate all injuries, accidents, and near misses
• Ensure DEP compliance of all facilities
• Continuously up to date on all DEP regulations

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in safety sciences or related field with a minimum of 6 months industry specific experience or minimum of 3 years of industry specific experience.
• Knowledge of DOT and DEP regulations
