Steve Milani began his career as a garbage truck driver for Jack and Harry Michael in 1973. Seeing his determination and work ethic, the Michael Brothers decided to sell their business to Steve when they retired in 1976. Working 7 days a week and usually up before 3am to service his routes, Steve gained loyal garbage accounts across the Pittsburgh region including Isaly's and Eat'n Parks. In the early 90's Steve was approached to sell his garbage accounts. Seeing the future of the waste industry Steve sold that division and focused his attention on construction and demolition temporary dumpster service. His eldest son, Tom, eager to grow the company joined Steve in the effort and saw a resurgence of growth. Rob his youngest son began working for the family business full time in 2006 and his son-in-law Mike began working for the company in 2010. Michael Brothers is a true Pittsburgh based family business! In addition to Steve and Patty Milani's children being represented in the family business we are also very proud to employee a local work force of over 80 employees, who we view as family.
